The bridge is a starship's nerve-center where most of the decisions critical to the success of the mission are made. Each crew member posted there represents a team of specialists elsewhere on the ship who are feeding data, options and strategies to the bridge, which must be analysed and prioritised to help decisions on the conduct of the ship made by the Conn.

The most critical of those decisions will be made while the commanding officer has the Conn.

The other positions on Endeavour's bridge are expected to include:

Science Officer

The science officer will usually be an astrophysicist, particularly during alter conditions.

Tactical Officer

The tactical officer

Weapons Director

Assisting the tactical officer during alert conditions.

Operations Management Officer

The "ops" officer

Engineer

An engineer will typically assist the operations officer during alert conditions with damage control and power distribution.

Quartermaster

The quartermaster
